AMAZON PRIME DAY – EXCLUSIVE SERVICES AND AMAZING BENEFITS

As an Amazon Prime member, you will have exclusive access to some amazing services and benefits all year around.   

Not only will Amazon Prime customers have fast shipping available to them, but there are also a wide range of other benefits that an Amazon Prime membership offers.  The offers that will available in 2021 will exceed the offers made available on Prime Day 2020.  Amazon Prime customers are those who have signed up to the subscription service, and Amazon Prime Day is Amazon’s way of rewarding their loyalty and subscription by offering exclusive deals on the Amazon Prime Days – which this year fall on June 21st and 22nd in the UK.

Here is what is included in the membership:

DELIVERY

  • Unlimited one-day delivery on products
  • Unlimited same-day delivery for select residential postcodes (best to always check)
  • Prime Now – this includes 1 and 2-hour delivery slots that are available 7 days a week in some residential postcodes
  • Amazon Day – this exclusive perk of the membership means that you can continue to add items to your basket whenever you like and then arrange to have them all delivered on the day of your choosing. 

STREAMING 

In addition to benefits relating to delivery, Amazon Prime membership enables you to have access to streaming services.  The following streaming options are available to Prime members:

  • Prime Video Channels: you can purchase third-party channel subscriptions as a Prime member and this means you can watch all your favourite TV shows from the comfort of your own home.  Popular channels include Eurosport, Discover, and ITV Hub.
  • Prime Video: access to Prime Video means you can stream literally thousands of TV shows and films directly to your TV.  This streaming service also includes some great Amazon Originals such as 
  • Amazon Music: Prime members love the access to Amazon music as it means they have access to a library of music with over 2 million songs.  Used with some great speakers you can download songs and play them whenever you want such as the Sony SRS-RA3000 ones below that currently have 25% off:

In addition to all of the above, Amazon Prime Day 2021 brings with it additional exclusive benefits for Prime members.  Let’s have a look at what is on offer this year on Amazon Prime Day:

3 Months of Audible for 99p

This is a fantastic deal, with Audible UK announcing that the Prime Day 2021 offer will be 3 months of Audible for only 99p!.  This offer is exclusively available to Amazon Prime customers, and the offer expires on the 22nd June 2021 so you will need to get in fast if you want to take advantage.  Using one of the 5G Rugged Smartphones you could listen to books for as long as you like: Please note this offer is not available for existing Audible customers, it is for new customers.  

Discounts on Amazon Fashion

Prime customers will also have access to discounts on fashion brands.  From May 31st until June 30th Prime customers will be able to make use of the code EXTRA20 to get 20% off some fashion brands.  

Spend £10 and get £10

From Monday 7th June 2021 until Sunday 20th June, Amazon will make available a £10 credit to be used on Amazon Prime Day to all members who spend a minimum of £10 on items that have been sold by small UK businesses.   This includes products from Amazon Handmade and Amazon Launchpad.  

This is a great deal as it not only encourages Prime members to shop locally and with small businesses, but it also means Prime members get £10 credit to spend with Amazon on Prime Day!  All you have to do is make sure you redeem your £10 credit on the Amazon Prime Days, and you can use it on any products during the period 21-22nd June.  If the product you want is already discounted, using your voucher will lower the price even further.   For example, if you have your eye on a new electric toothbrush you can save it now in your Amazon basket and then use your £10 credit to purchase it on Amazon Prime Day. 

Small Business

Why is Amazon focusing on small and medium-sized businesses this year? Amazon is committed to supporting small businesses and has committed to spending $100 million this year on promotional activities to encourage Amazon customers to buy from small businesses that sell on Amazon.  Prime Day will feature many deals from small businesses so customers will have a great variety of choice when it comes to making purchases.

As more small businesses start working collaboratively with Amazon and selling their products online, Amazon is keen to support their efforts. Some of the products available from small businesses will include those selling wine, rugs, and toys such as the Tesoky Star Night Light Projector:

Kindle Unlimited

Amazon Prime members will be able to enjoy three months of Kindle Unlimited at no additional charge as long as they subscribe to Kindle Unlimited between 2nd June and 22nd June 2021.  This promotion is for new subscribers to the service.  The Kindle Unlimited service offers access to over 1 million book titles, audiobooks, selected magazines, and comics.  A good kindle is all you need to take advantage of this offer. 

Additional Benefits

There will be a number of deals and benefits available for Amazon Prime customers, but there are also some deals that are live right now:

  • Up to 50% off some popular devices including the Kindle Fire
  • 50% off TV shows and movies via Prime Video to watch on your state of the art TV
  • From 2nd June until 21st June Amazon Prime members can claim Battlefield 4 standard edition for free on gaming.amazon.uk. There are some great discounts currently available on gaming equipment.
  • 20% off on selected products including furniture deals for every room within your home including the living room, kitchen, and bedroom. 
  • Prime Video Channels will be available for 99p per month for 3 months for new customers.  
  • Baby Wishlist: there will be a 15% discount in addition to any Prime Day discounts with the promotional code LIST15.  This will be available from the 1st June 2021 until the 22nd June 2021.  So, whether you are looking for baby monitors or baby bottles be sure to use your Prime Day discount.
